October 2006 Archives
Yea, verily the Broken Angel house (as featured in Dave Chappelle's Block Party) doth teeter high above the rooftops, here in balmy Brooklyn one October afternoon, visited by us.
Also we did note some further examples of, erm, well; "dubious architecture" nearabouts, venturing 10 minutes walking distance or so into the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood from our current domicile.
I would prefer that buildings such as Broken Angel might be left standing, however it seems the city of New York has other plans.
Further information about the house, including some beautiful photos and a plea for help from artist Arhtur Wood's son, may be found here.
The line for the Peking Duck House stand... This better be good!
The secret behind the dumpling hut...
Yo, check it;
Two of my favorite "extreme" personalities clash amicably in this classic Ali G clip from a while ago.
I find it sort of like mixing Sour Apple Gummi Bears in with my Steak au Poivre; two tastes near and dear to my heart, but SEPARATELY PLEASE!
Neither as funny as is Ali G usually, nor anywhere near as intellectually stimulating as even Chomsky's blandest soundbite, I think the steak and Gummi bears metaphor sticks to this clip...
P.S.; And with this, my first Youtube link, Samology is officially Web 2.0 enabled! Color me overrated!
