This weekend was my bachelor party in New Orleans, had a three day blast with the gang, checking out all the sights and sounds and tastes. Notably;
-The best hot Muffulettas at Napoleon House
-Giraffes and some kooky chimpanzees orangutans at Audubon Zoo
-The pretty decent Aquarium
-The exceptional Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas (thanks for the tip uncle Fluff!), of which I have a few left to share
-The dependable Hand Grenades
-Wholesome entertainment at Rick's
-A few friendly games of Texas Hold'em
-Some great weather, cloudy but not-too-hot
-Lots of blissful ambling around the French Quarter
-A chance to try out my Brother's rad PSP
But mostly I enjoyed the company of my friends, who were kind enough to take time out of their lives to join me in some of my last days of single life. I had a blast.
All of this would not have been possible without the skillful and delicate orchestrations of my Best Man; my good friend Tj to whom I am greatly indebted. Thanks, Tj!
May 2005 Archives
I can't recall at this time why there is a link on my website to Barbra Streisand's blog,
Yes there is,
Look over there -------------->
Anyway, I actually clicked on it today and found this clever quote;
"Republican Wisdom of Yesterday
...President Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1952
Posted on May 11, 2005
'Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid.'"
Neat. I like Barbra, I guess I will keep her around a while longer.
